The Clash - ”Live at Shea Stadium” (CD/DVD)

Sony BMG, izdavač legendi britanskog punk rocka, 6. listopada objavljuje novi live album grupe The Clash koji će nositi naziv ’Live at Shea Stadium’, a riječ je o snimci koncerta kojeg je grupa održala 13. listopada 1982. godine u New Yorku.

U to vrijeme clashovci su nastupali zajedno s grupom The Who na njihovoj oproštajnoj turneji po Americi, a koncert je snimio Glyn Jones. Set lista uključivala je klasike kao što su ’London Calling’, ’Guns Of Brixton’, ’train In Vain’, ’The Magnificent Seven’, ’Police on My Back’, ’Rock The Casbah’, ’Should I Stay Or Should I Go’ i ’I Fought The Law’.

Uz živi album ’Live at Shea Stadium’, kojeg je u svom domu slučajno pronašao pokojni Joe Strummer dok se pripremao za selidbu, istoga dana će biti objavljen i DVD ’The Clash Live – Revolution Rock’ koji će uključivati dosta live nastupa benda te rijetke i dokumentarne snimke. Redatelj je Don Letts.

Nova biografija ’The Clash by the Clash’, ustvari odlomci dugačkih intervjua sa svim članovima benda, biti će objavljena naknadno - 4. studenog.

Grupa The Clash razišla se 1986. godine nakon šest objavljenih albuma, a pjevač Joe Strummer preminuo je u prosincu 2002., samo mjesec dana prije no što je grupa primljena u Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
